TCU Ambassadors FAQ
Become a TCU Social Media Ambassador & Advocate for TCU Gives Day
At TCU, we try our best to stay in touch with Horned Frogs worldwide, however, sometimes we lose contact with them. NO matter the relation to the university, TCU Social Media Ambassadors help bridge that gap by sharing university messaging across their social media channels. Your biggest opportunity as a TCU Social Media Ambassador will be to advocate for TCU Gives Day, which will take place Oct. 7-8.
Because you’re awesome! You’ve already shown that you bleed purple either through campus involvement or by frequently celebrating TCU students, faculty, staff and alumni on your own social media accounts.
All TCU Social Media Ambassadors can set up an Advocate account on the frogfunding.tcu.edu website and advocate for TCU Gives Day. Those who sign up will be provided their own unique tracking link that allows them to track the number of clicks, dollars and donors they’re able to generate simply by sharing with their Horned Frog network. Ten Social Media Ambassadors who advocate and generate the most donors will receive a special gift from TCU. You can serve as a Social Media Ambassador and not have an advocate account, but it is a very important aspect of serving in this role.
You will receive an email from GiveCampus on Sept. 2 to set up an Advocate account in the TCU Gives Day portal, GiveCampus. Just click the link in the email and it will take you directly to the FrogFunding Advocate portal. Set up your account and here you will see the campaign details and ways you can share. You have the option to edit posts/content before you send them and can choose how you wish to share the message through Meta (Facebook), X (Twitter), LinkedIn or email.
You will be asked to share stories about the incredible work our students, faculty and staff are doing at TCU to make a positive difference in the world. In this volunteer role, you will promote the university by sharing fundraising initiatives and stories about the impact of the TCU experience. You will also be asked to share opportunities to engage with the Horned Frog Family through events, volunteering or giving back. The frequency of messages will vary depending on the time of year, but we suggest at least twice per month. Special events may require more messages: for instance, we plan on sharing approximately seven messages in October for TCU Gives Day.
TCU Gives Day is our big online volunteer event, and it takes place Oct. 7-8. This is the day that TCU Ambassadors Lead On by sharing TCU Gives Day content on their social media and sending emails to people in their network. During this 24-hour day of giving, you will encourage your fellow Horned Frogs (and Frog Friends) to make a gift. Prior to TCU Gives Day, we also ask that you help in getting the word out and building momentum for the big event.
That’s ok! Ambassadors/Advocates can share messages via email as well.
After logging in to the GiveCampus Advocacy Dashboard, there’s an email message section at the bottom of the page. Please feel free to copy and paste that message into your email. Also, be sure to include your “personal link” at the end of your message.
Facts about TCU Gives Day 2025

This year, we have from noon to noon, Oct. 7-8, to reach our goal of 2,025 donors. Last year, we exceeded our goal thanks to the efforts of our TCU Social Media Ambassadors. We can’t do this without YOU!
