The Most Effective Model

CHANCELLOR BOSCHINI DISCUSSES VISION IN ACTION: THE ACADEMY OF TOMORROW AT FALL CONVOCATION.

Never content to rest on its laurels, TCU is again physically and figuratively revitalizing itself for the future with the next phase of its long-term plan, Vision In Action: The Academy of Tomorrow.

"Our private, residential TCU education is the model that can most effectively prepare coming generations for future challenges and possibilities that we cannot even imagine today," says Chancellor Victor J. Boschini, Jr. "Our best hopes lie with a rigorous, but person-centered, residential university experience that has long been the heart and soul of a Horned Frog education."

But to realize its vision, TCU must set its sights even higher.

Consequently, the Board of Trustees has set out three areas of focus for the coming years:
• Enhancing the University's academic profile and strengthening its reputation
• Fine-tuning the size and balance of the student body
• And creating the optimal campus environment

"The physical transformation of our campus over the last 10 years has been phenomenal," the Chancellor says. "And we will continue to add facilities such as the Intellectual Commons and new residence halls.

"But the most important thing we can do now is to make an even greater investment in our academic reputation and profile by directing even more effort and resources to our people and programs.

"Then imagine how that investment in students, faculty and academic offerings can grow exponentially over decades though the power of endowment.

"This is our plan. The cumulative effect on this University will be nothing short of profound."
