Clark Society | Frequently Asked Questions

The Clark Society's mission is to promote a culture and tradition of giving through donor recognition, stewardship and connection in order to advance TCU.
Donors become members of the Clark Society by making annual or lifetime leadership gifts that may be designated to any area of the University. Gifts are counted during TCU's fiscal year, June 1 – May 31. For more information on Junior Clark Society levels please click here.

TCU Faculty and staff nominate students they feel would represent the University with the highest degree of character, leadership and sense of service. The Clark Society Board Scholarship Committee makes the final selection.
The Clark Society Board serves as the advisory body for the Clark Society. The purpose of the board is to recognize and thank people who give to TCU, provide feedback to the TCU administration on relevant matters and promote to current students the value of giving back to the University after graduation. The board meets twice each year and members have the opportunity to serve on special committees.

Annual Giving Recognition Levels

Chancellor's Council — $10,000
Dean's Council — $5,000
Director — $2,500
Member — $1,000

Lifetime Giving Recognition Levels

Visionary — $25 million or more

Pillar — $10 million - $24.9 million
Founder — $1 million -$9.9 million
Benefactor — $500,000 - $999,999
Sustainer — $250,000 - $499,999
Centurion — $100,000 - $249,999
Patron — $50,000 - $99,999
Chancellor's Council members represent the highest level of annual gift donors who contribute $10,000 or more each year. Members at this level and all lifetime giving levels enjoy all of the Clark Society member benefits with the additional recognition of being invited to a Chancellor’s Council recognition event. This event recognizes and celebrates all members who have achieved the Chancellor’s Council annual giving level for the current fiscal year as well as members who have achieved lifetime giving levels in the previous fiscal year.
Anyone who has reached at least the Patron level of cumulative giving is a lifetime member.
