William Elmo Powell ’65 earned a degree in management, commissioned through Air Force ROTC and planned to fly for a commercial airline when his service ended. His plane was shot down, and he went missing in action in North Vietnam on Aug. 17, 1968, weeks from coming home. He was 25.

The William Elmo Powell Memorial Scholarship supports a deserving TCU student from Central Texas. Your gift carries Capt. Powell’s legacy into the future.
