Frog Family Update

Candid Conversation with the Chancellor

Dear Horned Frog Family,

Typically, this is an exciting time of year with the start of spring on our beautiful campus. However, this is clearly not a routine year as we all do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19 throughout our community and nation.

We want to update you on our business continuity plan. University Advancement is making every effort to ensure the timeliness and quality of the work we are doing for you. With this in mind, we have implemented a plan to protect our employees and to continue delivering high-level service to our alumni, parents and friends.

Our employees are now working remotely. We will continue to operate during normal office hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, and offer the opportunity to connect by phone or video conference in lieu of in-person meetings.

In addition, we have heard from many of you expressing concern for our students and asking how you can help. Thank you. As new challenges related to COVID-19 arise, we encourage anyone willing and able to help students – who may be struggling to cover unexpected expenses – to contribute to the Frog Family Crisis Fund.

You may also wish to support faculty as they continue to provide a world-class education to our students. The TCU Koehler Center for Instruction, Innovation & Engagement is assisting faculty with transitioning classrooms to online instruction. Please visit makeagift.tcu.edu to take the lead on supporting students and faculty or visit advancement.tcu.edu for more information on supporting TCU.

While conditions are not ideal, with your support, we will move forward together as Horned Frogs. We are committed to providing our students with the best possible virtual educational experience until we can all return to campus.

We would like to now share with you a video message from Chancellor Victor Boschini.

We are thankful for your commitment to TCU, and in these challenging times, we are especially appreciative of your steadfast support of our students, faculty and staff.

As Chancellor Boschini says in his video message, "Together, we're going to get through this... because that's what Horned Frogs do."

Take care of yourself and each other.

Sincerely,

Don Whelan
Vice Chancellor for University Advancement
