2024 TCU Gives Day
TCU Gives Day achieved remarkable success, marking the second-highest amount of dollars raised in its 11-year history. On Oct. 8-9, TCU exceeded its goal of 2,024 participants, with 3,066 donors contributing a total of $1,862,834.
The 24-hour Gives Day online challenge highlights the importance of philanthropy and how it positively impacts every student at the university. Along the way, Horned Frogs unlocked more than $540,000 in challenge gifts for each school and college, as well as those benefiting Black and Hispanic Alumni Alliance Scholarships, the Mary Couts Burnett Library and Frog Club. Other takeaways from TCU Gives Day 2024:
- The day saw donor representation from all 50 states and 14 countries, which was highlighted on the donor map.
- More than 338 total students and 677 TCU faculty and staff members contributed throughout the day.
- More than 2,700 gifts under $150 were made.
- TCU students, parents and grandparents were all able to unlock a total of $55,000 in challenge gifts simply by making a gift to any designation on campus.
- For the sixth year, TCU included high-priority designations such as the Frog Family Crisis Fund and the Inclusive Excellence Initiatives Fund.
Donor impact was highlighted with donor maps and leaderboards allowing Horned Frogs to see top-performing areas, class years and affiliations. In this friendly competition, the TCU family was able to see which Horned Frogs were the most active across the world. Site visitors also had the opportunity to complete the TCU Gives Day Quiz, which provided suggested giving areas based on a user’s response to six questions.
Purple pinwheels were placed on the front lawn of Sadler Hall symbolizing the collective power of giving, with each pinwheel representing one student donor who participated on TCU Gives Day.
