TCU has named Joe Foley the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Development, Athletic Giving and Senior Associate Athletics Director.

TCU has named Joe Foley the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Development, Athletic Giving and Senior Associate Athletics Director.

"We are very excited to have Joe join the Horned Frog team. His experience and passion for student-athlete success are nice complements to our mission, vision and values," said David Nolan, Associate Vice Chancellor for University Development and Campaign Director.

At TCU, Foley will be responsible for leading a high-performance team to secure philanthropic investment for TCU's Athletics programs. He will direct all aspects of major giving, annual giving, stewardship, alumni relations and marketing programs related to fundraising for TCU Athletics through the Frog Club.

Foley joins TCU from The Pennsylvania State University in University Park where he served as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Advancement since October 2016. In that role, he directed all aspects of fundraising and student-athlete alumni relations for Penn State Athletics. He oversaw major gift fundraising and the Nittany Lion Club, which secures annual support from more than 26,000 donors each year and is one of the largest organizations of its kind in the nation.

Prior to that position, he was the Deputy Athletic Director for Development at the University of Maryland in College Park. He has also served in development, marketing and ticket operations at Ohio University and the University of Richmond.

Foley was a four-year letter winner on the Northeastern University track and field team, helping the Huskies win five America East Conference titles. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing from Northeastern and received his Master of Business Administration and his Master of Sport Administration from Ohio University in Athens.

"TCU is a world-class academic institution with a remarkable history of highly-competitive athletics," Foley said. "It is an honor to join such a prestigious university to help further its academic and athletic mission. I am grateful to David Nolan, Vice Chancellor for University Advancement Don Whelan and Jeremiah Donati for entrusting me with this responsibility, and I look forward to working with the entire TCU community in support of our talented student-athletes."

A native of Worcester, Mass., Foley is relocating to Fort Worth with his wife, Emily, and their sons, Thomas, James and Peter.
