Miles Agrees to Contract with Mavericks

The Horned Frog will stay home to begin professional career

FORT WORTH – TCU's Mike Miles Jr. agreed to a two-way contract with the Dallas Mavericks.
 
The two-way deal will allow the Highland Hills, Texas native to be on both an NBA and G League team roster.
 
Miles ranked No. 15 at TCU in career scoring with 1,297 points after averaging 17.9 points per game this season, the second-most in the Big 12 Conference. His 49.7 percent shooting from the field was a career-best and the third-best in the Big 12, the tops among guards in the conference.
 
Miles excelled towards the end of the season, averaging 21.8 points over the two games in the Big 12 Championship and two NCAA Tournament games. He was 13-of-27 over that span from 3-point range for 48.1 percent.
 
Miles became the first Horned Frog to be named a three-time All-Big 12 Conference player. He was named to the second team last season by the league's coaches and the Associated Press. Miles was also named NABC All-District 8 and USBWA All-District VII and named to the John R. Wooden Award Final Ballot.
 
Other Horned Frogs on NBA teams include Desmond Bane with the Memphis Grizzlies and Kenrich Williams with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
