RALEIGH, N.C. – The TCU women's golf team advanced to the NCAA Championship in Scottsdale, Ariz., after shooting a 2-under 286 in Round 3 of the NCAA Regionals at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, N.C.
TCU will be making its 14th appearance at the NCAA Championship and ninth under Head Coach
Angie Ravaioli-Larkin. It marks the second year in a row the Horned Frogs have advance beyond the regionals. TCU won the 1983 NCAA Championship, the first team national championship for a women's sport at TCU and was runner-up in 1982.
The Horned Frogs finished fourth overall at the NCAA Raleigh Regional. TCU shot a 54-hole team score of 2-over 866.
Lois Lau led the charge for the Horned Frogs in the final round, shooting a 2-under 70. She finished the tournament 2-under to finished tied for seventh. She carded a team-high five birdies on the day, four of which came on the front nine.
Caitlyn Macnab was steady throughout the day, shooting a 1-over 73 with three birdies for the round. She finished 1-over for the tournament to place tied for 15th.
Sheridan Clancy knocked in two birdie putts to finish the round with a 2-over 74 and sharing 21st place for the tournament.
Sofia Barroso Sa had a strong day, shooting a 1-under 71 for the round to put her in a share of 25th place.
Trinity King, who made her tournament debut in the final round, shot an even-par 72 while adding three birdies.
