TCU and Learfield Announce 2023 Football Radio Crew

Estridge, Burdine and Gallegos to call the action

FORT WORTH --  TCU Athletics and Learfield have announced their new-look radio crew for the 2023 football season.

While play-by-play voice Brian Estridge returns for his 26th season, Landry Burdine will join him in the booth upstairs as he moves from the sidelines to color analyst. Elvis Gallegos, who has been TCU's Spanish radio color analyst since the broadcasts began in 2009, will replace Burdine as the sideline reporter.

The new radio trio will make their debut together on Friday's 7 p.m. ESPN+ telecast of TCU's Spring Game.

"I am looking forward to working with these Horned Frog greats to continue to deliver the standard of excellence in broadcasting that TCU fans have come to expect," Estridge said. "Both Landry and Elvis bring a knowledge and passion for the game that is infectious. Couple that with the production enhancements planned for this year's broadcasts, and I think Frog fans will be entertained and informed every week."

Burdine, a former Horned Frogs' defensive back, had been TCU's sideline reporter the last 10 seasons.

"I'm very excited to continue in this new role as a member of the best radio crew in the country," Burdine said. "I want to thank Brian Estridge for giving me a chance. TCU football has been a big part of my life for decades, and I'm honored and grateful to be able to continue to tell its story. I also appreciate John Denton and his mentorship and friendship over the years as well as his support for me moving into this spot. The Frogs have some exciting years ahead, and I can't wait to be on the call for every one of them with Brian, Elvis and the rest of the crew."

Gallegos was a four-year letterman (2003-06) at safety for the Horned Frogs.

"I'm honored to be a part of this new broadcast team and can't wait to be back on the field with Coach (Sonny) Dykes and the Frogs," Gallegos said.

Miguel Cruz will continue as the Spanish radio play-by-play and now be joined by former TCU football student-athlete Rolando de Luna. In addition to his radio work, de Luna is a physician's assistant at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He also serves as a lieutenant colonel in the Air National Guard.
The Horned Frogs Sports Network is a Learfield production. The network has been honored as the best play-by-play broadcast in the state of Texas seven of the last nine years and 13 times overall by the Texas Associated Press broadcasters.
